ASUS ROG Strix G16 Design
The laptop’s dimensions make it at least somewhat portable, and it measures 13.94 x 10.39 x 0.89 inches—much smaller and easier to tote. Gamer-centric aesthetic, cyberpunk looks, transparent ASDF, QWER keys and spacebar are smoothed with RGB. The RGB LED lightbar along the bottom front provides a sublime under-glow, lighting up your table top, to add brilliant aesthetic advantages with the ASUS ROG Strix G16. The large, unmissable ASUS logo on the lid and the large ROG type on the right side of the keyboard provide flair from the front, offering depth to the aesthetic of the laptop.
Asus claims the ROG Strix G16 benefits from 15 per cent cooler CPU and GPU temperatures than its forebear, thanks to those changes. The new case design is the main of those modifications; it has been especially made to accommodate the laptop’s new heatsink.
This heatsink has three areas built around the motherboard to maximize airflow and pathing for hot air to escape. An additional fan is planted and works together in what is called a Tri-Fan System, combined with the seven heat pipes and Conductonaut Extreme liquid metal in cooling the CPU and GPU on the RTX 4080 variant.

Body And Display
The chassis is only the size to deliver a beautiful 16-inch ROG Nebula display. The Strix G16 offers up an impressive 90 percent screen-to-body ratio, so there’s plenty to see. A good screen-to-body ratio has been attained majorly by thinning the bezels down to less than 4 mm. By offering a contrast ratio of 16:10, this display is decadently taller than a number of laptops featuring formats from 16:9, letting users see more action in their games.
The ASUS ROG Strix G16 display works at a high level, with QHD+ resolution at a fast refresh rate of 240 Hz and an incredible three-millisecond response time. Indeed, such a mix of resolution, refresh rate, and response time is among the best solutions, normally providing highly detailed images without annoying glitches or screen tearing. Even at this point, some laptop hardware still can’t quite manage consistently smooth performance on 4K displays.
Keypad and trackpad
The keypad and the trackpad of the ASUS ROG Strix G16 are simply perfect for competitive gaming. You get a full-sized keyboard where the arrow keys are also of full size alongside dedicated hotkeys at the top. The hotkeys are all programmable but, by default, let you turn control over the laptop’s fan settings, volume and microphone, and quickly access ASUS’s companion software app, the Armoury Crate. Overall, the keypad provides generous 2 mm of travel. Programmable per-key lit backlighting makes them a delight to play on at night.

Range of Ports
The selection of ports is pretty wide. You’ll have access to multiple USB-A, another USB-C port, and a Thunderbolt 4 for hooking up varied peripherals like your mouse, phone, and external SSD. If you are targeting the display-supporting ports, there will be three of them; hence, you will have enough options to stream games or videos in a LAN meetup. Most of the Strix G16’s ports are on the left side, so if you’re a left-hander, it will get mighty cluttered there and may interfere with your mouse hand.

Audio
In terms of its audio performance, the two bottom-facing speakers of the Strix G16 really pump out a rich, varied tonal landscape when playing music from an audio app or listening to music in games.
The ASUS ROG Strix G16 simply excels as an all-rounder in its 16-inch gaming laptop category while looking really cool and packing a lot of interesting features. Equipped with Intel Core i9-13980HX and Nvidia GeForce RTX 4060, it is filled with outstandingly superior performance. Cyberpunk-inspired aesthetic, great connectivity options, and an immersive 16-inch QHD+ display complete it into one of the top choices for enthusiastic gamers who want to improve in style and substance alike.
Noticeably, the just-launched ASUS ROG Strix G16 is not available in Nigeria yet. It should be available across all stores of ASUS Nigeria partners from December 2023.
