The Royal Family wishes Prince Harry a happy birthday in their first public message in two years.

This is the first public communication about the Royal Family since 2022, and it is also the first birthday greeting for Harry since 2021. Both the communication and the greeting are firsts.

Following a period of silence that lasted for two years, the Royal Family eventually broke their silence and extended their best wishes to the Duke of Sussex on his 40th birthday.

“Wishing the Duke of Sussex a very happy 40th birthday today!” was the phrase from the statement that was released on X and Instagram. The statement was uploaded on Instagram.

In addition, the message contained an emoji depicting a birthday cake as well as a happy Harry avatar.

The Royal Family has not extended a public greeting to the general public since 2021, when they wished Prince Harry a happy birthday. This happens to be the first time that they have done so.

As can be seen below, this is the first post on X (Twitter) that has made a mention to him since 2022, when he was one of the young royals who marched around Windsor following the passing of Queen Elizabeth II.

After a period of time had elapsed, the Prince and Princess of Wales included their own birthday message in their birthday message.
