One of the most well-known couples in the world, Posh and Becks, got married at Ireland’s Luttrellstown Castle on July 4, 1999, yet their wedding was far more intimate than one may have thought.
After dressing in ivory for their wedding, Victoria and David changed into two of the most iconic wedding dresses in history to welcome an estimated 200+ guests to their evening celebration. Only 29 people attended, of course, including Emma Bunton, Mel B, and Mel C, VB’s fellow Spice Girls.
Victoria’s outfit, which included a single red and purple rosette-covered shoulder strap and a purple gown with a thigh-high split revealing the scarlet red lining, was very different from her minimalist outfit and, in fact, the fashion label of today.
David wore a matching purple outfit that had a wide-leg trouser to accentuate the 90s silhouette, a double-breasted blazer, and a floral corsage.
The couple celebrated their 25th anniversary of their wedding by dressing like royalty once again. They shared a ton of incredibly amazing photos on Instagram, one of which included the message, “Yep, still got it! I can’t believe they are still fit after 25 years!
David used a simpler caption for his post, just saying, “Look what we found.”
We are thrilled that these costumes are still in use and hope to see them one day in their rightful place at the heart of a museum. Of course!
