He states that Alexander Isak will not be leaving Newcastle this summer. Chelsea have explored an incredible, shocking move for the Sweden international as they look to bring in an established centre forward this summer. Stories this week have indicated the Blues are planning to eclipse their club record transfer price and shell out in excess of the £115million they spent to bring in Moises Caicedo last year.

Newcastle are the ones pushing to keep Isak with Arsenal having cooled their interest in the striker. Indeed, reports on Saturday went as far as to say that the Blues were discussing an extraordinary deal which would see Nicolas Jackson head to St James’ Park as part of a player-plus-cash deal despite hitting 17 last season.

Nonetheless, he is confident that the Magpies will not let Isak go this summer. He told Betfair, “I wouldn’t be too worried about it. I don’t think he will leave. I don’t think it can happen. Newcastle supporters would go mad if it happened.”.
“What he’s brought to Newcastle is how good a player he is. I’m not sure they could afford him either. I’ve seen the reports; I don’t think there’s any truth in that at all.” I would be amazed, angry, and disappointed if he were to leave Newcastle.

Consequently, Newcastle had been under pressure to sell before June 30 in order to adhere to profit and sustainability regulations; it looks like they are going to cash in on two to meet the requirement. Talented winger Yankuba Minteh is set to make his move into Brighton for £33m, while Elliot Anderson will link up with Nottingham Forest on a deal valued at £35 million.

As for Chelsea, the Blues have already signed three players this summer. Defender Tosin Adarabioyo became his first arrival in a free transfer from Fulham before a move for talented Brazilian winger Estevao Willian-who won’t join until 2025-was confirmed last week. Then on Saturday, a £19m switch for young midfielder Omari Kellyman to arrive from Aston Villa was announced.
More incomings are being eyed, however. The Blues are in discussion with Leicester over a possible £35m move for Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall.
