With each passing day, Bella Hadid continues to impress with her Y2K-inspired apparel. Greenwich Village was the location where the model made her debut on Friday, July 12, wearing a pair of green leather leggings. She was a vision of the decade of the 2000s. Despite the heat of summer, Hadid managed to look effortlessly chic by accessorizing the showpiece item with accessories that were appropriate for cool girls.
It was in a Gucci outfit from the brand’s Fall/Winter show in 1999 that Hadid wore flared forest green leather trousers. These pants were studded with glittering rhinestones on the front and along the wide-legged hems, which gave them a vintage appearance. Orebella’s founder paired the Xtina-inspired leather slacks with a graphic white ribbed tank top that stated “Here comes trouble” and included a print of a pinup-style woman wrestling a scorpion and a leopard. The printed graphic was a perfect compliment to the leather slacks.
In spite of the fact that Hadid wore her hair in natural waves with highlights and emphasized her features with minimal, glowy makeup and a brown lipstick, she chose the maximalist approach when it came to her accessories. The stunning woman who walked the runway sported a slouchy, big black leather hobo bag that appeared to have been taken from Paris Hilton’s closet. She also wore a stack of thick gold bangles. A pair of stylish black sunglasses and pointy-toed, strappy black kitten heels put a New York finish to her weekend look. Bottega Veneta earrings and a matching gold statement necklace featuring rose motifs added some extra glitter to her outfit. New York was the finishing touch.
The model provided yet another argument in favor of summer leather when, just a few hours later, she changed into the shortest black hot pants since she was going out with her girlfriends. A Y2K black halterneck top, western thigh-high black leather boots, and a black shoulder bag were the accessories that she wore with the leg-baring garment. Hadid replaced her gold jewelry with silver hardware; however, she did not change her sunglasses from the previous season. In addition to wearing enormous silver drop earrings, the former Victoria’s Secret model sported a large silver pendant choker necklace, which added a touch of glimmer to her look.
