Chelsea hires former Super Eagles player Seyi Olofinjana to widen African scouting network.

In a massive move that seeks to strengthen its presence in African football, Premier League giants Chelsea FC have appointed two officials to oversee its operations on the continent.

According to top football journalist Fabrizio Romano on Friday via X, the London-based club has brought on board Achirou Gaoh and Seyi Olofinjana to lead their African scouting efforts.

Romano wrote, “Understand Chelsea have appointed Achirou Gaoh and Seyi Olofinjana to oversee operations in Africa.

This move accordingly is to tap into the rich vein of football talent which Africa has consistently produced over the years.

Romano explained further about Chelsea’s motive, saying, “Chelsea want to cover Africa in the best way possible with scouting and appointments are now completed.
