Chidimma Adetshina, who was just awarded the title of Miss Universe Nigeria 2024, has relocated to Mexico in order to take part in the international competition.

Chidimma, who was born in South Africa to a Nigerian father and a Mozambican mother, will be the representative of Nigeria at the Miss Universe competition that will take place this year. Chidimma was born in South Africa.

During the course of posing for a shot in an Instagram video that was captured in a Mexican airport, the model proudly raised the flag of Nigeria. A white suit with green organza was the outfit that she was wearing.

Furthermore, the organisers of the Miss Universe Nigeria competition disseminated a statement that was both real and heartfelt. The following is the message that is sent out: “We extend our most heartfelt wishes and unwavering support! We hope and pray that the vibrant spirit of Nigeria is able to express itself through you. Take up the role of our spokesperson while maintaining your dignity, strength, and pride. Carry the crown with you when you return!

It is planned that the competition for the title of Miss Universe 2024 will take place on November 16 at the Arena CDMX Stadium in Mexico. Following the completion of the event, Sheynnis Palacios, who hails from Nicaragua, will select the one who will act as her successor.

Chidimma was born in 2001 at the Chris Hani Baragwanath Hospital, which is located in the South African suburb of Soweto.

As a consequence of the fact that she is of South African nationality, she became the focus of controversy during this year’s Miss South Africa competition. This led to an increase in the amount of criticism that was posted on social media, particularly from those who live in South Africa.

Adetshina would then make the decision to withdraw from the competition for the title of Miss South Africa after that.

On the basis of claims made by the Department of Home Affairs (DHA), which indicated that preliminary investigation suggested that her mother may have committed fraud and identity theft, she took the decision to withdraw her application.

“I did not steal anyone’s identity,” Chidimma declared in reaction to the allegations that were made against her acts.

It was her choice to accept the invitation to compete in the Miss Universe Nigeria competition that is being conducted this year. She took the decision to accept the offer. After everything was said and done, she was crowned the winner of the beauty pageant.

Furthermore, the model denied the assumption that she won the Miss Universe Nigeria pageant “out of pity” for herself. She stated that she did indeed win the competition.

Chidimma asserted that she, along with all of the other competitors, had to go through the same challenging experience. She went on to say, “I worked very hard to earn my title.”

In a recent statement, the authorities in South Africa announced that they want to revoke Chidimma’s identity as well as her travel documents. This was expressed in the context of the announcement.
