Daisy-Edgar Jones has seen the jokes about a photo that went viral with her and Paul Mescal from Normal People. She claims that the true image is based on “innocence.”

Many at the time made the analogy to the “distracted boyfriend” meme that had recently gone viral.
During an interview with WhoWhatWear, the Twisters star described the meme as “wild, considering the innocence” that it was based on, and he also provided extra background regarding the occasion.
I was having kind of an out-of-body experience with the Met Gala,” Edgar-Jones explained. “I was completely out of my body.” “So Paul had said, ‘Come and meet me and we could do it together.'”
After that, Edgar-Jones disclosed that Mescal had in fact arrived late for the red carpet, and that she had been “standing at the entrance of the Met Gala.”
“When you go, there is this pen where you are detained, and then you go to [before] you do the carpet,” she explained. “There is also this pen where… Finally, Paul arrived with Pheebs, and while we were waiting, we did the carpet together. Since he is my friend, it is likely that he is just thinking, ‘Hey, there she is.'”
After that, the actress stated in a humorous manner that the aspect of the photograph that she felt “most sad” was her posing.
In the course of the interview with WhoWhatWear, she stated, “[We] had been in COVID for the majority of this time doing press on Zoom, and this was one of the few times I’d actually been in person.” Considering that I was completely clueless about how to strike a stance on a red carpet, I believe that the most unfortunate aspect of this situation is the deep leg cross that I committed to in each and every photograph.
After working together on the Hulu series Normal People, which will premiere in 2020, Mescal and Edgar-Jones have developed a strong connection that has flourished. Edgar Jones referred to the Gladiator II star as one of her “lifetime best friends” in an interview that she gave to Variety.
“He is an extremely grounded person, and I am as well,” she said in an interview with Variety. “I believe that it is wonderful to be able to have those touchstones and those people with whom you can laugh about it and be lighthearted,” she said.
When I was 20 years old, Paul was 22 years old; I can’t wait to see where we will be when we are 32 and 42 years old, as well as what life has in store for us.
