Davido Responds After Portable’s Call-Out Over Label Advice
Nigerian Afrobeats star Davido, whose real name is David Adeleke, has responded after fellow artist Portable accused him of giving bad advice during a recent dinner in the United States. Portable claimed that Davido, who is signed with Sony Music, advised him against joining Sony and instead suggested he sign with Empire.
Portable, known for his hit “Zazu,” expressed frustration, alleging that Davido’s advice could hinder his Grammy aspirations.
In reaction, Davido unfollowed Portable on Instagram, as confirmed by a check of their accounts on Thursday evening. Portable had previously mentioned that some people were trying to create conflict between him and Davido, despite Davido’s past support.
