Edo Government Accuses Deputy Governor Shaibu of Plotting Forceful Entry into Government House

The Edo State Government is worried about what it calls Philip Shaibu’s plan to break into the Government House in Benin City as the restored Deputy Governor. This claim was made by Crusoe Osagie, who is the Special Advisor on Media Projects to Governor Godwin Obaseki. Osagie says that Shaibu’s claimed plan is meant to get him back on the job after recent political problems between the governor and his deputy.

Rogue In his speech, Osagie said that the Edo government had solid information that Philip Shaibu planned to break into Government House on September 30th and take back power. Osagie asked the Inspector General of Police (IGP) to step in and stop any threats to public safety or disorder. He said Shaibu’s claimed move was a desperate attempt to get back in power through illegal means, which could cause chaos in the state.

Governor Godwin Obaseki and his deputy, Philip Shaibu, have had a rough relationship for months now. There have been claims of betrayal and political plotting. When Shaibu was first banned, things got very tense. Luckily, the decision was later overturned, and he was reinstated. Even though Shaibu was reinstated, the Edo State Government says he is trying to make things worse instead of working for a peaceful settlement.

He made it clear to Shaibu that he would not be allowed to try to break into the Government House because it was a threat to the state’s security. He said again that the Obaseki government was committed to keeping the peace and told Shaibu to follow the law and the due process. Osagie said that the government is still focused on its plan to improve Edo State and will not let political issues get in the way of its work.

Osagie asked the Inspector General of Police and other security agencies in his statement to take action to stop the restored deputy governor from doing anything illegal. He said it was very important to keep public institutions safe from any kind of threats or takeovers by force, because those things are bad for democracy and the rule of law. He also said that the Edo State Government is determined to protect the dignity of its institutions and will not be afraid to go to court against anyone who tries to disturb the peace.

The conflict between Obaseki and Shaibu has gotten a lot of attention across the country, and many political experts are keeping a close eye on it. Shaibu had been a dedicated supporter of Governor Obaseki, but he is said to have lost favour because he wants to be governor instead. As a result, there have been a number of fights. Shaibu later successfully fought his suspension in court and was later reinstated. Even though they won in court, the ongoing fight between the two leaders has made people worry about the security of the state government.

People who support Philip Shaibu have said that the Edo State Government’s claims are false and politically driven. They say that Shaibu has every right to go back to work and do his job now that he is the appointed deputy governor. Additionally, they say that the charges against him are an attempt to keep him from doing his job as the deputy governor of Edo State.

But the Edo State Government says Shaibu’s acts are motivated by his own personal goals and not what’s best for the state. Osagie said that Shaibu was putting his political future ahead of the people of Edo State’s well-being and asked him to put the state first by respecting the governor’s power and focussing on running the government.

As things keep getting worse, the Edo State Government has made it clear that it will not stand for anything that could harm the state’s peace and security. The government has said again that it will follow the law and make sure that politics don’t get in the way of running the country. Osagie told everyone involved to stay calm and let the legal process play out. He also said that the government would deal with any attempts to weaken its power.

The claimed plan by Philip Shaibu to break into the Government House has made things even more complicated in Edo State, where things are already very tense politically. Both sides are digging in, so it’s still not clear how this power battle will end. The fact that the Edo State Government sent a letter to the IGP shows how seriously it is taking the claimed threat and how it could affect the state’s government and stability in general.

During this time of political unrest in Edo State, the main goal is to keep the peace and make sure that the people of the state don’t have to deal with the worst of the conflict. It remains to be seen if Philip Shaibu’s claimed plan to break into the Government House will come true, but the state government has made it clear that it is ready to do whatever it takes to protect the sanctity of its institutions and stop any disturbance.
