After posting on his X platform about the deadly riots that occurred in the United Kingdom one month ago, the tech tycoon has not been asked to attend the summit that will take place the following month.

As a response, he made the erroneous assertion that the government was releasing convicted paedophiles in order to make it possible for people to be imprisoned because of their social media remarks.

Mr. Musk made the statement on X in response to a post on the report. “I don’t think anyone should go to the UK when they’re releasing convicted paedophiles in order to imprison people for social media posts,” Mr. Musk stated.

It would appear that his remarks are a reference to the early release program that the administration implemented, which resulted in the release of more than 1,700 prisoners at the beginning of this month.

The prime minister made an effort to limit the number of inmates incarcerated in jails.

Not included in the plan were individuals who were currently serving sentences for sexual offences.

Mr. Musk, who has roughly 200 million followers on Twitter, sent a series of posts on Twitter during the riots that shook the United Kingdom in August. One of these posts stated that a civil war was “inevitable.”

It didn’t take long for the government and other people to attack him. At that time, the team that Sir Keir Starmer was working with stated that there was “no justification” for such comments.

More than one thousand people have been taken into custody in connection with the disturbances, and several individuals have been sentenced to jail for inciting racial hatred on social media platforms.

The purpose of the investment summit that will take place the following month is to entice investors to participate in the economy of the United Kingdom. The summit will be attended by leaders from various worldwide financial and technology firms.

In November 2023, Mr. Musk was last seen in public in London. Right before Rishi Sunak, the Conservative Prime Minister at the time, questioned him, he was present at the AI Safety Summit.
