Between the years 1987 and 1997, the actor was best known for his performance as Don Brennan in the soap opera. This role gained him the most acclaim. On Sunday of last week, he died away.
As a representative of Coronation Street and ITV, Helen Worth, who portrays the role of Gail Platt, paid tribute to Hinsliff when she passed away. Geoff was a lovely, quiet man who we will all sadly miss, she said in an effort to express her sadness.
“His partnership with Lynne Perrie was something rather special and they gave the viewers huge pleasure for many years.”
Not only did Hinsliff receive his education at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, but he was born in Leeds. Beginning in 1963 and continuing until 1977, he started his acting career on Coronation Street, where he played a wide range of characters.
This was his first performance as Don, a cab driver, which took place in the year 1987.
During his ten-year tenure on the cobbles, he was responsible for crimes including kidnapping and attempted murder. This occurred after a number of business transactions failed, and he was ultimately killed when he crashed his car into a bridge.
Hinsliff made his first appearance on television in an episode of Z-Cars. He has also had appearances in Doctor Who, Brass, and the film A Bridge Too Far.
