Google is about to make its biggest acquisition ever.

According to reports, conversations between Google and Wiz started about the same time that the business was successful in acquiring one billion dollars from venture capital investors earlier this year.

Although it was conducted about 10 years ago, Google’s acquisition of Motorola for $12.5 billion was the largest buyout in the history of the company at the time it was made. The transaction is anticipated to surpass that particular acquisition. Only two years later, Google sold Motorola for a large loss before selling the company. Motorola was sold by Google.

A price tag of $23 billion has been placed on Wiz, which was valued at $12 billion at the time of its most recent round of fundraising. This is a nearly twofold increase from the previous price tag.

Mandiant, a cybersecurity startup, was acquired by Alphabet in March 2022 for a total price of $5.4 billion. The acquisition was made with the purpose of supporting businesses in better managing cyber threats and reinforcing the company’s cloud computing business.
