In celebration of July 4, Katy Perry wore an extravagant bikini with the American flag.

Celebrities have worn American flag bikinis on July Fourth for a long time, from Kendall Jenner to Taylor Swift and her girl squad, but Katy Perry’s version of the holiday just raised the bar.

Perry honored Independence Day on Thursday by posting a picture of herself on Instagram wearing a two-piece bathing suit that was beaded in red, white, and blue, a la Rosie the Rivater. She wore a sparkling bikini with a star-shaped top that had stripes in red and white on one side and a blue background with white stars on the other. Two straps were adorned with rhinestones that crossed at the midriff and dropped into her denim shorts below. The pop singer accessorized her all-American ensemble with a strong red lip and a pair of clear crystal earrings, accessorizing her dark brunette locks with a red polka-dot bandana.

She captioned the picture with, “BB UR A FIREWORK,” as was to be anticipated. “And speaking of work, WOMAN’S WORLD IS GOING TO WORK IN ONE WEEK HAPPY 4TH 🇺🇸,” she continued, promoting her new song.

During Paris Couture Week, Perry teased the song in the most creative way imaginable. Her upcoming sixth album features “Woman’s World” as its lead song.
