JB Gill, a contestant on Strictly Come Dancing, has expressed his gratitude to his supporters following the news that his dance partner Amy Dowden was taken to the hospital following Saturday’s programme.
Dowden, who is 34 years old, did not make an appearance on the pre-recorded results program that took place on Sunday, and Gill, who is 37 years old, stood alone to find out whether or not he would be required to participate in the dance-off.
Following the foxtrot that they performed during Halloween week to Toploader’s “Dancing in the Moonlight,” the duo avoided both of the bottom two.
After undergoing treatment for breast cancer, Dowden, who hails from Caerphilly in South Wales, successfully resumed her full participation in the professional lineup this year.
Following the completion of chemotherapy and a mastectomy, it was reported that the dancer, who also suffers from Crohn’s disease, would be attending the series once again.
In the competition, she was paired with the JLS vocalist Gill, and the two of them have already made it to the last ten.
We have received information that another professional, Lauren Oakley, will be filling in for Dowden during the rehearsals that take place on Monday as she recovers.
According to a message that Gill posted on Instagram, he stated, “On behalf of both @amy_dowden and I, I just want to say a huge thank you to everyone for voting for us and wishing us well.”
The performance that we gave on Saturday night was simply fantastic, and we are very thankful that we have made it through another week on @bbcstrictly.” Please accept my sincere gratitude for the support you have provided.
Several dancers from the show “strictly professional,” such as Dianne Buswell, Johannes Radebe, Jowita Przystal, and Nancy Xu, expressed their support by leaving comments on the website.
The dancer was “feeling unwell, so an ambulance was called as a precaution,” according to a spokesman for Dowden, who stated this information on Sunday.
“She is feeling much better and would like to thank the Strictly family for their love and concern,” they stated in their statement.
“We request Amy’s privacy in matters of health is kindly respected.”
According to the BBC, Dowden was “unable” to participate in the results show that was broadcast on Sunday because of “unforeseen circumstances.”
A spokeswoman for the East of England Ambulance Service said that the organisation received a call just after 9 o’clock on Saturday evening to respond to a medical emergency that occurred at Elstree Studios in Borehamwood.
“An ambulance was dispatched to help at the spot. According to the statement, “one patient, an adult female, was transported to Barnet Hospital for further medical attention.”
