Simone Biles, whom Jonathan Owens refers to as his “warrior” wife, received nothing but accolades from him following the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.

While speaking with the media after his return from Paris, the Chicago Bears safety, who is 29 years old, expressed the enormous pride he feels for Biles, who is 27 years old and became the most decorated gymnast from the United States in the history of the Olympic Games despite competing with a calf injury.

“Obviously, the first day when she had the injury to her calf and just her ability to persevere through that and go out there and still dominate is just amazing to watch,” Owens said of his wife, who won four golds at this year’s Olympic Games. Owens’ wife was able to accomplish this feat by following through with her training.

“My spouse is a fierce fighter. This is the one thing that I tell people because I compare it to the situation that we are in with football,” he went on to say. It will hurt a little bit immediately before you limp around, and it will ache a little bit. Now, however, as soon as you leave, it’s almost as if you forget about it. merely her ability to tolerate discomfort and the manner in which she was able to walk out there and, as I mentioned earlier, appear graceful with everything.

The football player continued by saying, “People couldn’t have been more clueless about what was going on.” To put it simply, I am overjoyed and proud of her.

Cecile Canqueteau-Landi, the head coach of the United States women’s gymnastics team at the Olympic Games, has previously stated to reporters, including Earlyrise, that the injury is a minor calf issue that occurred a few weeks before the completion of the Olympics.

During an interview that took place on Monday on NBC, Biles provided an update regarding her health. Despite the fact that she was wearing a protective boot on her left leg, the athlete stated, “Calf is good.”

Because we still have a tour after this to recover from and all of that, this is just a preventive measure that we are taking to make sure everything is in order. Therefore, it’s simply a little discomfort,” she explained. “I feel like elite athletes are pretty tough, so we’re just, through pain or pleasure, we’re ready for whatever.”

Biles has not yet specified whether or not she will participate in the Summer Olympics that will be held in Los Angeles in 2028. Owens says that he will never stop being there for his wife, whatever the circumstances.

To put it simply, that is the one thing that she would have to work out on her own initiative. And just like I said before, man, I am here to back her one hundred percent and whatever it is that she chooses to do,” he went on to say.
