Holly Willoughby Kidnap Plot: Undercover Officer Feared ‘Imminent Threat’, Court Hears

An undercover police officer expressed concerns over an “imminent threat” to Holly Willoughby after images of the TV presenter were reportedly shared in an online group called “Abduct Lovers,” a court has been told. Gavin Plumb, 37, from Harlow, Essex, stands accused of using the messaging app Kik to solicit others to assist him in the alleged crimes of abduction, rape, and murder targeting Ms. Willoughby.

The officer, based in the US and testifying via video link without displaying his image, informed jurors that he feared Mr. Plumb was actively seeking “hitmen” to carry out the purported plot against the TV personality.

Mr. Plumb is currently on trial at Chelmsford Crown Court, where he has pleaded not guilty to charges of soliciting murder, inciting kidnap, and inciting rape. The case underscores the serious allegations and the ongoing legal proceedings surrounding the alleged conspiracy involving Holly Willoughby’s safety.
