The management team for NCT, SM Entertainment, has revealed that Taeil, whose real name is Moon Tae-il, is fully cooperating with the police investigation.
According to the announcement that was issued by his record company, South Korean pop sensation Taeil has left the K-pop group NCT as a result of allegations of a sexual offence that have not been disclosed.
When SM Entertainment found out that the singer, who is thirty years old, had been “accused in a criminal case related to a sexual crime,” they posted a statement on X declaring that the singer would no longer be a member of the boy band. The statement was made after the singer was informed of the situation.
There was no indication on the label as to the nature of the alleged criminal act that was being committed.
This is an excerpt from the statement that was made: “We have acknowledged the gravity of the situation, and we have come to the conclusion that Taeil is no longer able to participate in activities that involve the team.”
“We have discussed this matter with Taeil, and it has been decided that he will leave the group.”
