In the event that anyone is still looking for the ideal summery ensemble, Katie Holmes has thrown her hat into the ring with a brand new coordinated set that is absolutely wonderful in every way. While out and about in the Upper West Side neighborhood of New York City, the mother, actor, and director wore a T-shirt with cap sleeves and a matching midi-length skirt from Faithfull the Brand. Both of these garments had a tropical plant motif. The stretchy, soft, and casual set had a Balinese design that featured birds, trees, and fruit in addition to luscious blues, greens, and purples. Faithfull referred to this printing style as “Balise.”
According to the website of the firm, the set is constructed out of cotton jersey, which is a lightweight material that is ideal for beating the heat. Holmes completed her look by accessorizing with a pair of ballet flats in a deep plum color, a slouchy tote bag in the same color, and a blue baseball cap that was a product of Dôen’s collaboration with Gap.
In spite of the fact that she has established herself as a street style celebrity thanks to her fashion choices (and has further cemented this reputation by making an appearance at Paris Fashion Week), the former Dawson’s Creek actor and director will always be her first interest. Holmes was the recipient of the International Award at the seventh-annual Filming Italy Sardegna Festival, which took place at the beginning of this month.
She was dressed appropriately for the event by donning a dress that was off-white in color, ruffled, and featured a deep-V neckline and long sleeves. Despite the fact that she has been absent from the small screen for some time, she will be appearing as a guest star alongside Natasha Lyonne in an episode of Poker Face’s second season. She will be joining the ranks of notable actors such as Chloë Sevigny, Ellen Barkin, Tim Blake Nelson, Nick Nolte, Rhea Perlman, and Adrien Brody, who appeared in the first episode of the show.
The fact that Holmes has a reason to celebrate is not the only reason. The graduation ceremony for her daughter, Suri, from LaGuardia High School took place earlier this summer. The fall semester of this year will find her enrolling at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, after she has taken some time off that she has earned.
