The “Very Cavallari” star, 37, shared her thoughts in a Tuesday episode of her podcast “Let’s Be Honest” following Cutler’s arrest for DUI and gun possession in Tennessee on Thursday.

Cavallari mentioned at the beginning of the show that the episode was recorded prior to a “very public incident” involving her ex-husband, which she touched on briefly.

“I truly wish Jay all the best, and I really hope he gets the help he needs,” she said. “That’s all I have to share about it publicly.”

Cutler, a former NFL quarterback, was taken into custody in Tennessee following a small traffic incident. Authorities noted that he had a strong smell of alcohol and was slurring his words, and they discovered two handguns in his vehicle. He faced charges for driving under the influence, not taking care to avoid a collision, violating implied consent law, and having a handgun while under the influence.

Cavallari and Cutler tied the knot in 2013 and shared the news of their separation in 2020. They have three wonderful children together. Cutler appeared on his then-wife’s E! reality series “Very Cavallari,” which aired from 2018 to 2020.

In June, Cavallari mentioned in an episode of her podcast that she became “very thin” while filming “Very Cavallari” because of the stress from her marriage.

“Let me give you a little perspective on this,” she said at the time. I’m 5 feet 3 inches tall! I’m currently at 114 pounds. While filming ‘Very Cavallari,’ I reached 102, and I was enjoying the same amount of food that I’m enjoying now.
“I was just skin and bones,” she added with a smile. “I feel like I look so much better now!” Hey everyone, that was just stress! That was being in a marriage that wasn’t very happy, to be honest. Seriously. I felt really down.

When she shared the news of her split from Cutler in 2020, Cavallari referred to it as “just the situation of two people growing apart.”

“With a heavy heart, after 10 wonderful years together, we have decided to part ways amicably,” she said. “We hold so much love and respect for each other and are truly thankful for the years we’ve spent together, the memories we’ve created, and the wonderful children we are so proud of.”

Earlier this year, Cavallari caught everyone’s attention when she shared that she was dating a new boyfriend, Mark Estes, who is 24 years old, leading to some chatter about their 13-year age difference. In September, the star of “Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County” shared that she and Estes had parted ways. She later shared on her podcast that they decided to part ways after she “started to feel” the age gap and the differences in their life experiences.

“I think about when I was 24 and all the amazing things that have happened since then. Those years were really important,” she said. “Those years really shape who we become.” This is the moment you discover who you truly are. And he should be able to do that!

In the part of Tuesday’s podcast recorded before Cutler’s arrest, Cavallari talked about breakups and shared that her “heart broke” when her marriage came to an end.

“Even though I was the one who walked away, it wasn’t what I truly wanted,” she said. “It wasn’t quite what I had imagined.” And I truly gave my all to everything I could. It’s really tough when you desire something so much, but it feels out of reach.
Cavallari also shared that before the divorce, she “clenched” her “jaw for so many months,” and “as soon as I got out, it stopped.”

She shared with listeners that she and Cutler are currently in the “best place that we’ve been in,” mentioning, “It’s been four-and-a-half years, and it took four years, but things are really good with us now. … “If Jay and I can make it, then I believe anyone can!”
