Oppo has issued a media invite that confirms the Reno 12 5G series will soon be on its way toward India. Flipkart and Oppo India then created a special landing page on their websites, further teasing the arrival of the Oppo Reno 12 5G and Reno 12 Pro 5G.
Both phones verify the availability of some AI-based features on the camera, such as AI Best Face, AI Eraser 2.0, AI Studio, and AI Clear Face. It is also making sure to carry productivity features like AI Summary, AI Record Summary, AI Clear Voice, AI Writer, and AI Speak that will run through Google Gemini LLM.
Oppo Reno 12 5G series to introduce new AI features
Oppo Reno 12 Series: Features its new AI Best Face, which detects human faces with expressions in order to handle capturing the perfect shot. It can “open” the eyes of the subject if they were closed when the camera captured the image.
AI Eraser 2.0—much like Google’s Magic Eraser—gets rid of background distractions with just a few taps, while the AI Studio feature can turn any photo into a digital avatar. The AI Clear Face provides high-definition details of facial textures, hair, eyebrows, and more.
The AI Summary from Oppo Reno 12 lineup gives concise summaries and highlights of long content. The AI Recording Summary can summarize long office meetings every day.
The AI Writer, meanwhile, offers sentence completion, word suggestions, and grammar correction. The AI Clear Voice is said to reduce background noise by as much as 40dB using advanced algorithms.

The Chinese variants come with the Oppo Reno 12 powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8250 Star Speed Edition SoC, and the Reno 12 Pro is equipped with the Dimensity 9200+ Star Speed Edition chipset. The global versions are powered by MediaTek Dimensity 7300-Energy SoCs.
The Oppo Reno 12 and Reno 12 Pro are fitted with dual 50-megapixel cameras and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera. Both devices come with a 50-megapixel front camera. They have 5,000mAh batteries, supporting up to 80W SuperVOOC fast charging.
