Rivaldo tells Barcelona to sign €58m target who has ‘everything to succeed’ at club
It is an open secret that Barcelona have interest in Nico Williams. Incredibly bright performances by the young winger with the Spanish national team have only upped his appeal.
According to Barcelona legend and Ballon d’or winner Rivaldo, Barcelona should not let such an exciting opportunity pass them by and give their all to sign Nico’s signature.

With a €58m release clause, Nico Williams could join Barcelona for a fee which is way too low for his standards.
And believing it is so, Rivaldo says, h/t SPORT: “Given the cost of his release clause and everything he has been doing, I think it is a very reasonable value.”
The 21-year-old winger capped off his La Liga season on flying form and has carried on with his scintillating run of form onto the national team. Recently, he tore Georgia limb from limb together with Lamine Yamal.
“He is a player who has stood out with his performances at Athletic Club this season and now he is doing incredibly well with Spain at the European Championship.
“The interest from Barcelona in Nico Williams is not hidden from any eye now. His performances as a young winger for the national team of Spain have been bright enough that it has only added to his appeal.
According to the opinion proffered by the Barcelona great and a winner of Ballon d’Dor, Rivaldo, this fine opportunity of acquiring Nico’s services is one which the club must not allow to go amiss but, on the contrary, give its all-out efforts to make it happen.

Nico Williams could well come to the club for €58 million when in reality, that is much less than his actual value.
Yet he’s a bargain, per Rivaldo, h/t SPORT: “Given the cost of his release clause and everything that he has been doing I believe it is a very cheap value.”
The 21-year-old winger finished the season on a bright note in La Liga and has gone ahead to translate that with the national team, most recently, ripping Georgia apart in company with Lamine Yamal.
“He is a player who has been outstanding in his performances with Athletic Club this season, and now he’s doing incredibly well with Spain at the European Championship.”
“He has everything to succeed at FC Barcelona, the club has to consider him,” Rivaldo commented.
Coming from a man who is used to parking the ball firmly in the back of the net and waltzing past defenders, such praise for Nico Williams truly could not mean more. .
Interpreting What the Pair Was Feeling
Rivaldo also wanted to point out the brotherhood showcased in post-goal celebration between Nico Williams and Lamine Yamal while celebrating the former’s goal against Georgia.
“Scoring a goal is so great and important for each player that, I think, each one should celebrate it as he wants.
“A dance is not a provocation but a show of joy from the players. Vini and Neymar were criticized for doing these dances,” the former Barcelona player said.
Lamine Yamal and Nico Williams’ vibrant personalities and on-field flair have invited comparison to players of Brazil’s golden era.
Rivaldo jumped to their defense, saying, “These criticisms always come from rival teams who get angry.
“But I think we have to continue with this joy and everyone should celebrate it as they want, always respecting the rival. It was great that they did it. They are playing well, scoring goals and dancing like Brazilian players do.
“I don’t think there should be a criticism, but rather applaud the players who have that personality—celebrate like that after scoring. “
