The guy, who was 54 years old, was taken into custody by law enforcement officers at the Park Hyatt hotel in Manhattan, according to a spokesman; however, it was not clear what crimes he was being held for at the time of his arrest.

In his statement, the United States Attorney for the Southern District of New York (SDNY), Damian Williams, claimed that the arrest was “based on a sealed indictment.” Williams also added that he expects to be able to disclose additional information once the document is no longer sealed.

In response to a question regarding the decision to “pursue what we believe to be an unjust prosecution of Mr. Combs by the United States Attorney’s Office,” the attorney for Mr. Combs, Marc Agnifilo, voiced his “disappointment” with the action.

In addition, the attorney noted that Diddy is a flawed guy, despite the fact that he is not a criminal under any circumstances.

Mr. Combs has been nothing but cooperative throughout this inquiry, and he moved to New York on his own initiative last week in order to get ready for these claims. This is a testament to Mr. Combs’s character.

I would want to request that you wait from casting judgement until you have been presented with all of the information. He is a man who is absolutely harmless and has nothing to hide, and he is looking forward to using the judicial system to clear his name. These are the activities that he has taken.

A number of lawsuits have been filed against Combs alleging sexual assault, and the federal government is currently conducting an investigation into the matter. Combs has been arrested in the midst of all of these cases and investigations.

The “long-awaited arrest is the first step for our clients receiving justice,” according to a statement released by attorneys who represent some of the individuals who have levelled allegations against Combs.

“The evidence is very clear, and it was only a matter of time,” stated the statement that was released by attorneys Rodney Diggs and Tyrone Blackburn.

It is a significant step forward in the direction of justice for all of Mr. Combs’ victims, including the people I represent. In the end, justice will win.”

With the execution of search warrants at the rapper’s houses in Los Angeles and Miami in March, the federal investigation that was being conducted against the artist became apparent to the general public.

In connection with claims of sex trafficking, sexual assault, and the soliciting and distribution of illegal substances and firearms, investigators conducted interviews with a number of individuals.

The San Diego County Sheriff’s Office issued the warrant to search Combs’ residences.

In 2023, the R&B singer Cassie, whose actual name is Casandra Ventura, filed a lawsuit against the rapper, alleging that she had been subjected to years of abuse, including rape and beatings.

When CNN obtained a video that appeared to show Combs punching and kicking Cassie in a hotel hallway in Los Angeles in 2016, he later issued an apology for his actions. The lawsuit was settled, but Combs later accepted responsibility for his actions.

After Cassie’s complaint, many more were filed, including two women who accused Combs of sexual assault and a music producer who claimed that he reportedly forced him to seek prostitutes and urged him to have sex with them. Cassie’s case was the first of several that were filed.

To this day, Combs and his legal team have consistently refuted the majority of the charges.

As the partner and producer of the Notorious B.I.G., who was murdered in 1997, the rapper, who was known at the time as Puff Daddy, rose to prominence during the East Coast-West Coast hip-hop conflicts that occurred in the 1990s.

Within the hip-hop industry, he is widely recognised as one of the most prominent executives and producers.
