Shania Twain Plans Spectacular Horseback Entrance for Glastonbury Festival Performance
Shania Twain aims to create a Glastonbury first by riding a horse to the Pyramid Stage on Sunday for her teatime Legends slot. In an interview with BBC Breakfast, the Canadian singer expressed her enthusiasm for the unique entrance, saying, “I love horses. I love animals. I’m going to see if there’s a horse around I can borrow.”
Twain shared her desire to make this grand entrance, adding, “I’d love to ride a horse to the stage,” but acknowledged, “I’ll have to find out if it’s allowed.”
Incorporating horses into her performances is not new for Twain. During her Las Vegas residency at the Caesars Palace Colosseum starting in 2012, she famously sang her hit “You’re Still the One” while sitting on a white horse. Additionally, the music video for her 2005 single “Don’t!” features Twain riding a horse through a yucca plantation.
Twain frequently shares her love for horses on social media, showcasing her own three Tennessee Walking Horses and two Saddlebreds. If she succeeds in her plans for Glastonbury, it will be yet another memorable moment in her storied career, blending her passion for animals with her iconic music.
