A tax debt of over £750,000 that had not been paid was the reason that the former glamour model was declared bankrupt in November 2019 and again in March.

Due to the fact that Katie Price, a former glamour model, did not show up for a court hearing concerning her bankruptcy, a warrant for her arrest has been issued.

Price, who is 46 years old, was scheduled to make an appearance at a bankruptcy court in London on Tuesday. Previously, she had been informed that she must come or face the possibility of being arrested.

Catherine Burton, a judge on the Insolvency and Companies Court, stated that the former model had been issued “very clear warnings” when she failed to appear in court. She went on to say that it was necessary for the court to issue a warrant for Ms. Price’s arrest, according to her opinion.

She does not have a valid reason for her absence from the hearing that took place today. Regarding the cause of her absence today, it has no consequence.

A tax debt of ove £750,000  was the reason that the former glamour model was declared bankrupt in November 2019 and again in March of this year.

It was because she was “dealing with serious stuff” that she was unable to attend her hearing in March.

Barrister Darragh Connell, who is representing the trustee for Price’s two bankruptcies, made this declaration in court on Tuesday. He stated that the former model will be detained to ensure that she attends a future hearing on her finances and that she will “not be kept in custody for a long period of time.”

He concluded by saying, “Her liberty is on the line, but unfortunately, we are at the end of the road in relation to this matter.”

As part of the proceedings surrounding her initial bankruptcy, Price was ordered to pay the trustee forty percent of the monthly income she receives from the adult entertainment website OnlyFans for the next three years. This order was made during a hearing that took place in February.

aFollowing her success as a glamour model in the 1990s under the name Jordan, Price transitioned into the world of reality television, where she made appearances on a variety of productions, including I’m a Celebrity. She has also been the host of documentaries for the BBC.

In October, she stated that she was “fed up” with being threatened with legal action and that she would go to prison in order to be “done with it all.”

Price discussed her bankruptcy with Michelle Visage on her BBC Radio 2 Rule Breakers podcast. She stated that she had lately been to court “more times than I’ve had hot dinners” and that she would “genuinely” not care if she was jailed. Price discussed her bankruptcy with Visage.
