Disney and 20th Century Studios’ Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes, the fourth installment in the rebooted “Planet of the Apes” movie franchise, outsold the top 5 chart movies combined on digital downloads to remain No. 1 on the U.K.’s Official Film Chart.
Paramount Home Entertainment’s IF, starring Cailey Fleming and Ryan Reynolds, and written and directed by John Krasinski, finished at No. 2 in its home entertainment sales debut.
Lionsgate’s Civil War dropped one spot (No. 3), while Warner Home Entertainment’s 1996 disaster film Twister (No. 4), starring Helen Hunt and the late Bill Paxton, moved up nine spots following the theatrical release of Universal Pictures’ sequel Twisters.
Sony Pictures Home Entertainment’s Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire remained at No. 5, while the Oscar winner Oppenheimer returned to the top 10 at No. 6.
The remaining charters included Warner’s Dune: Part Two (No. 7), Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire (No. 8), post-apocalyptic action film Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga (No. 9), and Universal’s horror-comedy Abigail (No. 10).
