According to the conclusions of a coroner, Abdul Ezedi, the chemical attacker who carried out the attack in Clapham, committed suicide by diving into the Thames River within a few hours of attacking a woman and two girls. The incident was carried out in Clapham.
individual,As a result of the attack that took place in south London on January 31, the police had begun searching for the individual, who was 35 years old.
A body belonging to the pizza delivery guy was found on February 19th, close to Chelsea Bridge. The body was discovered buried beneath the bridge. During the later part of that day, it is believed that the guy entered the River Thames.
After reaching the conclusion that Ezedi had committed suicide and drowned, senior coroner Mary Hassell dismissed the possibility that he had been forced into the river or that he had fallen into it by mistake. Instead, she came to the conclusion that he had committed suicide.
During the inquest, she delivered the following statement: “The circumstances surrounding his death are clear in part.” This statement was given in the Poplar Coroner’s Court, which is located in east London.
According to the data provided by the Metropolitan Police Service, it is highly likely that he entered the River Thames at Chelsea Bridge at around 11.30 p.m.
“It seems likely to me that he drowned almost immediately and, although he was not found until February 19, 2024, I will put his death on January 31.”
Ms Hassell closed her testimony by stating: “Given the circumstances, including what happened in the day, I think that it is likely that he jumped into the water, and I think it is likely that he did so with the intention of ending his life.”
Detectives used closed-circuit television to follow Ezedi’s last movements along the river as part of a massive manhunt.
The incident occurred after his ex-girlfriend and her two girls, ages three and eight, were subjected to an assault in which they were drenched with a substance that was caustic.
Following Ezedi’s escape from the site, he was seen on surveillance footage with what seemed to be severe facial injuries. Ezedi was from the general vicinity of Newcastle.
The first thing that Ezedi did was use his bank card to go on the Tube. After that, he walked a course that roughly followed the banks of the Thames in the hours that followed.
Ezedi was awarded refuge in the United Kingdom in the year 2020, as was revealed in the days following the attack.
Despite the fact that he was given a suspended sentence for a sexual offense in November of 2018, he continued to do this.
