Bebe King, Alice Dasilva Aguiar, and Elsie Dot Stancombe were all one of the victims of the stabbing that occurred on July 29 in the town of Merseyside. The workshop was centred around Taylor Swift and featured dance performances.
The parents of a young girl who was slain in the stabbings that occurred in Southport have paid tribute to their “precious daughter” and disclosed that their older sister witnessed the crime and managed to flee the scene.
After the stabbings that took place on July 29 in the town of Merseyside, Bebe King, Alice Dasilva Aguiar, who was nine years old, and Elsie Dot Stancombe, who was seven years old, all passed away. The workshop was centred around Taylor Swift.
Following the dissemination of incorrect information on social media that the perpetrator of the attack was an illegal immigrant, the deaths of the three girls provoked anti-immigration demonstrations and even rioting across the cities and villages of the United Kingdom.
Lauren and Ben, Bebe’s parents, stated in a statement that their daughter “was full of joy, light, and love, and she will always remain in our hearts as the sweet, kind, and spirited girl we adore.” The statement was given via the Merseyside Police Department.
“She has shown such incredible strength and courage, and we are so proud of her,” they said, revealing that their older daughter, Genie, who is nine years old, witnessed the incident and managed to flee.
“Her resilience is a testament to the love and bond she shared with her little sister, and we will continue to support her as we navigate this painful journey together as a family.”
The following is an excerpt from their statement: “On Monday, July 29th, the loss of our precious daughter Bebe shattered our world.”
“Along with two other beautiful souls, Elsie and Alice, she was taken from us in an unimaginable act of violence that has left our hearts broken beyond repair.”
Bebe’s parents expressed their concern for Alice and Elsie’s families by describing how they “hold them close in [their] hearts” and how they were thinking about them frequently.
In a statement that was sent to kids who were hurt in the incident as well as those children who witnessed it, they continued, “We send our love and hope that they too can begin to heal, surrounded by the care and support of those who love them.”
After the announcement that all of the children who were under the care of Alder Hey Children’s Hospital after being injured in the attack had been “safely discharged home” the previous week, this comes as a repercussion.
The “outpouring of love and support” from the community in the seaside town, from the entirety of Liverpool, and from farther afield “has been a source of incredible comfort during this unimaginably difficult time,” according to Bebe’s parents at the time.
They expressed their gratitude for the kindness and compassion shown to their family, “from the pink lights illuminating Sefton and Liverpool to the pink bows, flowers, balloons, cards, and candles left in her memory.”
“We are extremely thankful for everybody who reached out to us.”
They also expressed their gratitude to the members of the emergency services who had been present at the scene the previous month and who had continued to offer support to the family.
“We will forever be grateful for the way you have helped us through this harrowing time,” the parents expressed their gratitude.
Just over a week after Alice’s passing, her family organised a vigil for friends, loved ones, and members of the community. The memorial to Bebe comes after the family of Alice said their goodbyes to Alice.
Erica, Alice’s cousin, referred to her as her “best friend forever” during the church service that took place on August 6th. She also stated, “We will never forget you.”
A few days ago, hundreds of people made their way to Southport to participate in a peaceful vigil that was held to commemorate one week after the stabbing attack.
There were photographs taken of children blowing bubbles that had been supplied by local businesses, arcades, and charitable organisations. Other individuals left behind balloons in the shape of hearts, flowers, and toys.
There have been three girls found dead at the Hart Space in Southport, and Axel Rudakubana, who is 18 years old, has been charged with their murder.
He is also charged with the attempted murder of yoga class instructor Leanne Lucas, businessman John Hayes, and eight children, the names of whom cannot be disclosed due to legal concerns. Additionally, he is accused of possessing a kitchen knife that has a curved blade.
