Uriel Oputa says Marriage is Not an Achievement; Stop Questioning My Single Status
Uriel Oputa has firmly warned those questioning her single status to back off and stop meddling in her personal matters. According to the former Big Brother housemate, marriage is not an achievement in her eyes, and she is in no rush to get married.
Taking to her Instagram page @urielmusicstar, Uriel shared her views on the subject of marriage. As an entrepreneur, she expressed that she does not seek validation or commendation from social media to prove her marital status, nor does she feel the need to post about her relationships online. She emphasized that her personal relationships are private and she will never share pictures of her partner or details about her marriage on social media.
“Marriage isn’t for everyone. If you think marriage is an achievement, that’s on you. How do you know I’m not married? Do you think everyone needs validation from social media?” Uriel wrote. “I would never post my marriage or my partner’s full face here. Age-shaming and marriage-shaming is so 2018. Let’s maintain this energy and save the lives of young men and women.”
Additionally, Uriel addressed cyberbullies and trolls, stating that their negative comments cannot affect her. She warned them to stay away and maintain respect for her personal choices and privacy.
