It has been said by the President of Ukraine that the offensive is part of an effort to restore justice following the invasion by Russia in 2022.

After Russia invaded Ukraine in 2022, the Ukrainian president stated that the attack was part of an effort to restore justice to the country.

The Russian government said that Ukrainian soldiers had advanced into the Kursk region on Tuesday, and Russian military bloggers stated that they had made some progress. However, they asserted that the situation has subsequently become more stable.

Valery Gerasimov, the top general of Moscow, stated on Wednesday that the strikes had been stopped, but Russia has not been successful in driving the Ukrainian soldiers off its land as of yet.

According to statements made by officials in Kursk on Sunday, thirteen people were injured in the city as a result of debris from a damaged Ukrainian missile falling on a residential structure that included nine stories.

During the Kursk region, Russia’s air defence units were responsible for the destruction of 14 drones launched from Ukraine and four Tochka-U tactical ballistic missiles, according to the Russian Ministry of Defence.

Additionally, drones were shot down over the districts of Voronezh, Belgorod, Bryansk, and Orlov, according to the report.

As part of its response to Ukraine’s surprise invasion of Kursk, Russia stated on Saturday that it had used a thermobaric bomb on Ukrainian forces. This announcement was made in conjunction with the announcement of a “counter-terrorism” operation.

Increasing the level of security measures in the border regions of Kursk, Belgorod, and Bryansk is something that Russia has announced and made public. Through the implementation of these procedures, the government is able to move residents, exercise control over phone communications, and request cars.
