The developer of Genshin Impact and Honkai: Star Rail released their new free-to-play gacha action RPG Zenless Zone Zero earlier this week on the PlayStation 5 and mobile devices. Recently, Famitsu asked the producer of the series Zhenyu Li about the chances of a Nintendo release.
The following translation below comes via Nintendo Everything, and apparently indicates that he is open to a Switch “successor” release, also highlighting that he’s a “personal fan of Nintendo”:
“Currently, the highest priority regarding quality is in the platforms that we plan to work with. We think that as we move on with the development process, we will happen upon possibilities for this. Of course, there is an assumption it will become an excellent experience, and of course, personally, like a Nintendo fan, I will be very happy if this becomes real.”
Of course, keep in mind that we’ve still not seen Genshin Impact make the arrival on Switch. Years ago, it was announced for the system, but since then, no update has been provided for quite a while by the team. It also more recently released its other role-play gacha title Honkai: Star Rail on select platform
