Due to the fact that she had to go to the hospital a few days ago for an emergency, Cardi B has decided to cancel her performance.
The rapper announced the cancellation of her appearance at the ONE MusicFest event that was set to take place in Atlanta this coming weekend by posting a letter on her social media accounts this afternoon.
“I am so sorry to share this news, but I have been in the hospital recovering from a medical emergency for the past couple of days, and I will not be able to perform at ONE MusicFest,” she wrote. “I really apologise for the inconvenience.” The fact that I won’t be able to meet my fans this weekend is a source of great sadness for me, and I wish that I could be there. Bardi Gang—tthank you for understanding, and I’ll be back better and stronger soon. Don’t be concerned. I adore you all.
The ONE MusicFest organisers shared this message on social media, which was similar to Cardi B’s statement. Hey there, #OMFFam! We regret to inform you that @iamcardib has informed us that she will not be able to join us this year owing to ongoing health concerns,” the post reads. To ensure that she makes a full recovery, let us all keep her in our prayers. We are exerting a lot of effort in order to find a replacement at this late moment. There will be more in the near future.”
Cardi B was in Los Angeles for a nine-day vacation just a week ago, during which she held a session on X Spaces, where she discussed the plans for her long-awaited sophomore album. Her words were, “It’s going to be amazing and unique because everything I do is going to be amazing and unique,” and she was right. “I apologise for the slight delay. It is not going to be an extremely long delay. It’s going to turn out quite well. This is going to be my home for the next nine days.
It has been planned that ONE MusicFest will take over the Civic Centre in Atlanta. In addition to Earth, Wind & Fire, and Nelly, Cardi B was scheduled to appear as the headlining act on Saturday night. Other artists that were scheduled to play were Fantasia, Ari Lennox, Method Man and Redman, Young Nudy, Larry June, and others, including Larry June. On Sunday, Victoria Monét will be the headlining act, along with Gunna and Jill Scott. Following her, GloRilla, Keyshia Cole, Sexyy Red, and other artists will play.
