Some months ago, Don Jazzy captured attention when a foreign investor purchased his record label, Mavins.

Jazzy established the now-defunct record label Mo’ Hits Records in 2004 alongside his former business partner, Oladapo Oyebanj, also known as D’banj.

After its closure, he established Mavin Records on May 8, 2012.

Mavin has been the driving force behind artists like Tiwa Savage, Reekado Banks, Korede Bello, Dr. SID, D’Prince, DNA Twins, and numerous others.

The label features artists such as Ayra Starr, Johnny Drille, Crayon, Boy Spice, Bayanni, Rema, Lifesize Teddy, and Ladipoe.

In 2019, Don Jazzy revealed a newly constructed multimillion-naira mansion named “Mavin Creative Studios,” which serves as the Mavin Corporate Headquarters, in celebration of his 37th birthday.

The label has garnered multiple awards, notably the MTV Africa Music Award for Best Record Label in both 2013 and 2014.

Mavin Records’ artists have collaborated with international stars like Beyonce, Selena Gomez, Kelly Rowland, and Chris Brown.
